National General Museum Zabana

The idea of ​​creating a museum in the city was for Demaeght (who is interested in antiques and inscriptions), which in 1882 gathered various objects divided into three sections: coins (13 pieces), Roman and African motifs (16 rooms) and natural history [3] The museum is an impressive Roman mosaic of Portus Magnus of the site of Old Arzew, the municipality of Saint-Louis (today Batti): a large mosaic of four tables and a small which represents the departure of Bacchus in India.
